Hotel, illegal, room, cost

Is it illegal to pay for the cost of a hotel room and have sex?

This guy is running this thing and he said I have to pay 40 dollars for the hotel room to help cover costs. Does this count as prostitution if the reason I am going there is to have sex?

No as long as your not paying the girl for the sex. All your paying for is the use of the hotel room.
